I love to travel. So, when clients tell me they want me to come to their city to take photos, I jump at the chance. You may remember this post from earlier this year when I was in Chicago photographing Dave and Emily. Needless to say, when Isabella mentioned bringing me to Kansas City, I jumped at the chance. I got down there a little early to look around the city and see what it had to offer. After an hour or so, I stumbled upon the Westport District and immediately fell in love. I really loved the combination of colors, textures, and the urban flavor this area had to offer.
I met up with Alex and Isabella soon after and we took off to grab some portraits on the streets and back alleys of Westport. Within an hour, we moved on to Loose Park where we took in some of the beautiful scenery and fall colors. We shared some laughs and rolled in the leaves as this couple really opened up in front of the camera. As a matter of fact, we continued to shoot until all the light had gone, then we said goodbye and went our separate ways.
I can't say enough about how fun this trip was and how great Alex and Isabella were to work with. I love trips like this and hope to do many more in the future. I can't wait for their wedding next spring!
