It's been a long journey, but I'm happy to say, we're nearing the end. Cathy is within the final ten weeks and they are flying by now. We're in the last minute scramble to make sure everything is ready and goes off without a hitch. Filling out forms, packing bags, and taking practice trips to the hospital have all become the norm. Our sweet little Sophie is becoming more active and it's an amazing feeling. Last night I laid, hands pressed against Cathy's stomach, feeling our baby roll and kick to her heart's content. The little app on Cathy's phone says she should be about 2.75 lbs now. From here on in, she should be gaining weight quickly.

Presently we're nervous, but really excited at the same time. It's a weird feeling. On one hand, we know our lives will never be the same, but on the other, we know that they will be full of new joys and pride as we watch her experience everything for the first time. Suddenly holidays will become more exciting, we'll take more joy in everyday things, and she will basically reignite the inner child in both of us. All we can do now is wait and pray that she comes out safely. The official due date is March 1st, but as we get closer to that date, it could happen at any time. In either case, we're ready.
