I'm pleased to announce an exciting educational opportunity for Iowa photographers. A while back, I contacted Fer Juaristi to get some more information about doing a workshop in the midwest. For those of you who don't know Fer, he's a rockstar in the wedding photography industry and captures some of the most stunning wedding images I've ever seen. You can view some of this work here. To be honest, he's a huge inspiration of mine, so the opportunity to have him come teach a workshop was something I had to jump on.
When I asked about having him fly in for a workshop, he simply said, "It takes 8-12 people and costs $375. If you can get the interest, we'll do it." Challenge accepted. I put the word out, and soon enough, it was on. Here is some basic information:
Here is a list of what you can expect at the workshop: • 2 sessions with the same couple, one engagement session + bride and groom • Keynote about inspiration and style, your approach on weddings & getting the right client • Photoshop tips and a look at how Fer processes his images • Fun networking with other photographers & a group critique • Meals included (breakfast & lunch)
The workshop is limited to 12 spots and will be on April 17th from 10 AM – 8 PM. The cost is $375 per person. In my opinion, that's a steal to have such an industry legend come and share his knowledge. To all the Des Moines photographers reading this, I highly suggest looking into this workshop...even if you're not a wedding photographer, there will still be plenty to learn. Hurry, his workshops fill up fast!
