A Year in Review: 2015 Engagement Sessions
Well, this post has been long overdue, but it's finally here! Introducing my 2015 Year in Review: Engagements Edition — a compilation of some of my favorite moments from engagement sessions in 2015. This post is the product of countless hours of digging through folders, selecting, sorting, and rating the thousands of engagement photos I shot last year. This post is long, but in actuality, it could be a lot longer. It's so difficult to compile photos in a post like this because I find myself emotionally attached to each and every one.
This year, I had an incredible collection of clients and, with such a great group of people, we went out of many adventures — often times going off the beaten path and out of our comfort zone. This year's sessions took us to a variety of locations including grassy fields, city streets, gravel pits, dumping grounds, wooded areas, trails, rolling hills, creek beds, state parks, and rocky coastlines...just to name a few.
In addition to these amazing places, my clients exhibited awe-inspiring love and connections, the likes of which I had never seen before. More often than not, I found myself an observer — simply taking photographs of a couple's deep connection instead of shouting instructions and giving posing advice. When everything flows seamlessly like this, it not only makes the shoots easy and fun, but also lends a degree of authenticity that you just cannot fake.
Above all else, I feel blessed to be doing what I'm doing. There's nothing that means more to me than knowing that I have my clients' unwavering trust to create beautiful, timeless images that they can enjoy and share for the rest of their lives. So, to all my couples I had the pleasure of working with this past year, this one's for you.
