It's the time of year when my workload slows down and I'm able to spend more time and reconnect with my family. I love this season because there's always great food around the house and something about the holiday spirit warms you even when the temperatures are below freezing. This year is especially great because my daughter is finally at the age where she can appreciate Christmas and all the wonderful things it has to offer. Lately, we've been watching Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and Frosty the Snowman, which are becoming a seasonal addiction for her as that's all she talks about anymore. A few days ago, she helped us decorate the tree and we had such a great time watching her play with all the ornaments. With all this going on, I feel happy and balanced. It's a constant reminder that amidst the chaos and the work that keeps flooding in, family keeps you grounded.
