Framed: The Promise
Hello and Happy Friday to all you readers out there — it’s time for another photo from my Framed Series. Today, we’re showing off this beautiful moment from Alex and Corey’s wedding from a few years ago.
This moment in particular was a sweet capture during their beautiful outdoor wedding ceremony. When they were planning out their ceremony, they had a special time built in where Corey would get down on one knee and read a special letter to his new daughter, Maddie. You see, he had already proposed to Alex (obviously), but he felt it equally as important to propose to her daughter as well because in his mind, he was sort of marrying both of them and promising to take care of them.
So, mid-way through their ceremony, Corey got down on bended knee and pulled a folded letter out of his pocket and began reading. I can’t remember exactly what it said, but it was something to the effect of promising to take care of her and her mom and always being there for love, support, etc. All in all, a beautiful, heartfelt promise. I was snapping photos as quickly as I could and, when I finally stopped, there wasn’t a dry eye in the house. All the faces in the audiences were filled with emotion and tears over the content of the letter. But, we weren’t done yet. Corey finished the letter after a minute or so, and suddenly pulled a box out of his pocket which contained a piece of jewelry for Maddie. Since he had given her mother jewelry when he proposed, it created some perfect symmetry to give Maddie some as well. All in all, it was so touching and moments like this are why I started shooting weddings in the first place. I love capturing moments and memories like this for really awesome people.
Cheers and have a great weekend!
