Pet Adoption Project

Picture of cute black dog named Bill. Recently, my fiance, Cathy, and I decided to volunteer at a local animal shelter to help all of the great animals find homes. Since we are big animal activists and have many animals ourselves, we know all about the level joy that a pet can give you. The shelter we have chosen to help out in is called Panora P.E.T.S which is a small local shelter that basically operates on donations and helpful volunteers. Panora P.E.T.S is literally overrun with great animals that need homes, so Cathy and I are striving to boost the adoption rate as much as we can.

Last night we had the privilege of meeting one of the coolest dogs I have ever met (excluding my own of course). Bill is a black lab and mastiff mix and while you think this would yield a large energetic dog, it's quite the opposite. Bill is extraordinarily calm and mellow...sort of like a gentle giant. He's great with animals and kids and definitely loves attention. If it weren't for our current pet/living situation, we would've taken him ourselves!

Great animals like Bill are why we are doing this. Many of these animals were cast out and deserve a second chance so we're joining the fight to bring them to a loving family. Soon, I will be helping the shelter by doing some graphic design work for them and by photographing all the animals which will be featured on this blog to help raise awareness. Cathy and I are eager to get involved and we hope that between the two of us, we can make a difference.
